I recently travelled with P&O from Dover to Calais with no problems, they strapped the bike down carefully on the side stand which I think is better than the centre stand anyway. make sure your luggage is locked and I'd reccomend removing the gps and tank bag if you have them.

Andrew, lovely bike -- like the screen and the colour ---I know you'll enjoy it. I too have moved over to the dark side, sold the r1100s and bought a k-r. we bonding well, its a blast to ride but I'm sure its going to get me in deep trouble one day.

Got to find myself a new helmet thats quiet, light and has a removable lining and this one ticks the boxes. Tell us what you thin...

Try CLARKES at Machine mart, their stuff I find pretty good and at a reasonable price. Snap on also good but silly prices.

Go to BMW MOTARRAD, then maintenence plans, choose the model and then print one off. Go down the list one by one, I always get them laminated when finished, put it in a folder ------ It will lok good when you come to sell.

I did with no ill effects --------- until the dealer changed the front disc's and had to chisel the disc carrier bolts off, Too soft he says even though they were of a high spec.

My dream garage would be more like a hanger 60mx50m, cavity wall insulation, mezzanine floor at one end with office and kitchen facilities, the floor would be smooth concrete, painted light blue. Under the mezzanine floor goes the machine shop ---- nothing too fancy, just a mill, lathe and a drill s...

Ron Great looking bike especially with the tinted screen, but Ron I am puzzled how you can finance a new bike before selling the old one? I don't mean to be nosey, but I've been working for 30 + years and I still have too raise the cash first then go for the bike I want. Maybe I've lead a sheltered ...
