My Winkers are not orange

Post by snavetrauts »

Hi folks.... I have a new notebook.....I am preparing it next to my old notebook.... The orange winkers on my boxertrix site (those that preceed the various forums) on my old notebook, are actually orange. The winkers on my new notebook are grey.... not coloured at all although the session on both computers is the same... i.e. there are some postings that I have not read.

Any Ideas..... I know there are some very technically literate poeple out there.

Apart from the later model they are both the same mac notebooks, running the latest OS etc etc etc

Regards

Stuart

You have winkers on your notebook? Cool! 8)

Perhaps they're digital electronic ones and you need a resistor adding to reduce the lumens in order to reduce their appearance on the colour scale? Now is that in series or in parallel...?

Agh...whatever. That's the way your cookies crumble.

They are only orange when they contain new posts. If you log on using your old lappie, and then log on using the new, those new posts are from before your last visit and will show grey as being read.

My winkers have white lenses and Judes have orange. Are you sure that your gray ones are not an optional extra?

Madman, You will be glad to know all is well now with my winkers.

Are you going to keep the bike or are you still thinking of getting rid.... I thought you had restiction of 90/100 bhp in France... so moving to a K might be a problem ???

cheers

Stuart,

Make sure you are logged into the site on your new laptop. It will only show the new posts if it knows who you are. Look in the top right hand corner of any forum page and you should see some buttons. One of them will be labled "Log out [snavetrouts]" if you are logged in, otherwise it will say "Log in". If it's saying "Log in", click it and log in, and don't forget to tick the "always log me in on this computer" box too...

Hope this helps,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Stuart, The bike is now so nice to ride that we are keeping them both. The bhp limit here in France has a few little loopholes so even a K12S may be on the cards in a few years time.
