I've seen a couple of the Z14's on the road and as has been said they look a lot better in the flesh, especially the blue and the black models. However if the wife spotted 4 bikes instead of 3 in the garage, well lets just say it would not be pretty......

Sorry also meant to say once cleaned and reconnected give a light coat over the top with your favourite battery post grease ( most people that'll be vaseline then ) and that'll help, though you'll have to clean and renew as it'll collect the crap instead, hey ho !

Pressure switch is down bottom front near side, next to the oil level sight glass. Single wire connection to it that on most bikes is not sheilded fromt he elements in anyway, so tends to be manky. Easy to check thw switch, remove wire, ignition on, ground the wire and the light should go off. If it...

Re: Ups and Downs.

Sproggy probably means that because the filter is horizontal under the air intake then all particulates land directly on the filter as opposed to say the GS setup or indeed the SJ conversion where the filter face is vertical and the larger particulates drop to the bottom of the air box, allowing th...

Re: Ups and Downs.

Air filter every 20,000km miles according to BMW if it's a standard one but you'd be better off doing it every 10,000km because it's a poor design and picks up loads of dirt. Surely that must mean it's doing it's job and is therefore a good design? Yes and no, Sproggy probably means that because th...
