I have just tried to take the final drive unit off having removed all the bolts etc but the final drive unit will not come out. Is it a case of whack with rubber mallet until out or is there something I have missed? :?
Any help would be greatfully appreciated as BMW have quoted £200 for job ...

bulbs
Yeah, I went through a spate of blown bulbs, bought an LED one that never fitted properly , then went back to normal bulbs, had the same on for past 12 months! I put it down to the vibes. Ever looked at how the back end shakes on tick over, if that don't shake a bulb to bits nothing will!

Where from?
Hi Lars1974
Just wondering where you got the screen from (and if you don't mind how much for?
) as I looked on the pyramid website and couldn't see it under 1100s or ss.
looks good. Would probably help me as I'm quite tall.

Rear brake caliper R1100s
Can anybody help me. I have unfortunately managed to shear the bleed nipple off on the rear brake caliper, and have been informed by BMW that niether they or Brembo sell the bolt that holds the bleed nipple onto the caliper. Therefore, they say, I have to buy an entire new caliper!!!!!!!!

Clutchless shifting
I have been practising clutchless shifting and am getting quite good at it, but I was wondering if doing a clumsy shift will damage clutch or gearbox? Any answers , should I stop doing it?

new saddles boxer-design.de
I have been thinking of getting a redesigned saddle for my r1100s and followed a link from this site to boxer-design.de where I found what looks like a very comfy seat. 8)
What I would like to know is has anybody had their saddle done by this company, and if so is it worthwhile? was the experience ...

Hi there Goodrich do hose kits and "off the peg" kits called BUILDALINE. You buy the banjo bolts and hoses separately, I did the front of my R1100 s for under £50!, the rear will prob cost another £20 when I get round to it.

Changing clutch fluid.
Hi does anyone know how to bleed the clutch fluid from an R1100s 2002 bike. Is it fairly easy or best left to a professional?
