Hi all.
Got the S out after 4mths in the garage on a battery tender. Wheeled it out, went to start, but no luck. Would turn over but not fire. Checked kill switch etc - nothing amiss. WD40'd plugs and injectors, still nothing. In the end, i had to leave it and go out on my cruiser. Was fine when ...

update
:D Hi all. Long time no post, so I thought I'd give an update on mods. I raised the bars above the yoke. What a revelation, (for me anyway!). The bike is soo much more comfortable. I bought a used screen for £10, cut off the two horns and the lack of buffeting around my Shoei visor pods is very ...

If you get the laser system, do not use a K&N or the Air Induct. The shop I brought the system dyno it with a K&N and the induct. The result was less power then the system ...

quiet helmets
:D Good to see a bit of banter about helmets. I too have just retired my Shoei, at 7yrs old. I've now got an XR900, but always like to have one spare. I think I'm going to plump for the BMW one. I'm pleased to see that I'm not the only Imelda Marcos of the helmet world. I've got an 'as new' Vemar ...

k1200rs fuel regulator
:D Hi. Having checked out the fuel delivery rates, the 1200RS regulator delivers fuel at a higher rate than the standard 1100S does. I guess that this would compensate for any increase in air velocity, lower exhaust restrictions etc. Basically, they richen the mixture! They cost about £35, but are a ...

sum result of mods
:D Hi all. New to the group although not to BM's. Got a 99' S, on which I'm having fitted a set of Laser cans, a Laser Y-piece, a Laser chip, a K&N filter, a pair of Lennies Inducts and a K1200RS fuel regulator. What sort of difference over standard can I expect? Mid-range is what I like so I'm ...

bmw dealer - Bristol
:D Hi all. New to the group although not to BM's. Just want to give a plug to Bath Road Motorcycles in Bristol (01179 711447) Chris and Des are the chaps to deal with. Excellent customer care and aftersales service. The S' is my 3rd BM from them in 3yrs and they are the sort of dealer that ...
