I'm interested to know whether it is possible to dismantle a stock front shock to remove the spring. If so, does anybody know whether it is possible to swap a standard spring onto a BMW sport shock? I'm fairly sure the sport shock is longer but I'm not sure if the spring itself is longer ...

I'm looking at retrofitting genuine heated grips to my 98 model, I'm hoping somebody can answer my wiring question given my workshop manual doesn't include a wiring diagram.

I've got a Laser boxercup I muffler on my R1100s, and was curious to take out the dB killers to see what effect it has on the sound.
Google tells me to drill out the spot weld on the bottom of the exhaust tip.
