Well having said I was getting used to the SS, I made a prat of myself today outside the barbers. Got blocked in somewhat by a ginormous white van and another bike (GSXR 1000), I had to paddle it back and forth about elevntyone times to get out, as there was an awkward slope.
Then having got myself nicely positioned (so I thought) - THUNK. Stalled. THUNK (stalled again). Entire customer base of barber shop now killing themselves. Check that stand is not down. Nope. try to paddle forward a bit, feel sweat dripping off chin as summer heat beats down. Bike does not budge.
Finally realise that front wheel is stuck in a pot hole. Barber shop entourage troops out and I am offered a push. Bike goes nowhere at all. Check bike is in neutral. It is, according to green light. Mr Suzuki suggests it may be a false neutral. Start bike, get in gear, then back into neutral. Finally get pushed forward and ride off into the midday sun.
Vow never to park in that spot ever again. May wear a disguise next time I have my hair cut.
