Anyone else been dissapointed by MCREPORTS.COM?

Post by stormcloud »

I tried to purchase R1100s articles from the MCREPORTS.COM website but after they charged the fee, I've heard nothing from them and emails go unanswered. This was nearly 2 months ago.

I'd seen it around for a while, thought it probably legit.

It wasnt that much money, but if they are dodgy, might be worth warning others.

Anyone else had problems, or good service recently?
GSX250, RZ350, K100LT, GPX750R, YP250, XJ900S, VTR1000F, VFR800, YP250, SV650, and now..... R1100S.

Attitude and perspective are everything.

I used them in the past for the VFR, and got my pdf files within the hour and never needed to contact them.

Problem solved - now a happy camper

I finally got a reply from the site.

The site owner replied himself and said he'd been OS for some time, leaving the operation of the site in someone else's hands........

Anyway, over the last few days I've had excellent service from mcreports.com

Emails have been answered promptly and good efforts made to resolve my issues.

I've got the reports now - and after a quick browse - they look fantastic! Not only early lauch tests, but long termer reports, articles on maintenance, articles on modifications and plenty of comparison tests etc.

I am now a happy camper, to the point that I'd recommend them.

Hi Stormcloud (or anyone else who's bought any reports from mcreports.com),

Do you mind if I ask if the articles you got from mcreports.com contained anything that couldn't be found online on review sites or forums?

$21 seems like good value, and it sounds like the reports you got (I presume you got all 20 articles/92 pages) are well worth it.

Did you learn or discover anything that you never knew?

Cool link that. Just downloaded 8 reports on the CBR954rr2 Fireblade for a tenner - well chuffed!

These are PDF files from US and UK bike magazines, which unless site owners want to get in trouble with copyright infringements, you cannot find online.

So if this site didn't have the right to sell these files (I would presume it does?), who'd be in trouble for what when someone bought a copy of one of the reports?

I didn't mean, "could those specific articles be found online for free?"

I meant, "was there any info contained within that wasn't already out in the public domain for free?"

The only one in trouble for selling copyright material is the one selling.

After 10 years, I doubt there is any information that hasn't been chewed out and rechewed online somewhere.

The thing is, this will give you a lot of information together, in an easy to read format with pretty pictures to go with it.

And I personnally like having the magazine tests for my bike.
