BMW R1100S Carbon Fibre Indicator Covers

Post by plivez »

Hi All

My r1100s indicator pods are split at the pointed bit that bolts down next to the instrument console. :x

I was thinking of replacing them. Can anyone tell me whether the carbon fibre covers are a complete replacement, or do they just fit over the existing pod.

... but they are rubbish. I had some but wouldn't waste my money on them again. The fit is very poor since they do not screw securely onto the fairing panel like the originals do.

Just my opinion, of course  . Your milage may vary.

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

had no end of indicator pods - all eventually seemed to break at the screw hole next to the instruments. managed twleve months (and still counting) on the latest set by replacing the screws with extra long ones just finger tightened onto bigger squelchy rubber washers. Not a BMW design triumph.
'Hinterachsge' translates as 'rear axle'.(Not 'Differential', so f*** off)
