What's in the BoxerCup tool kit?

Post by masha »

Can anyone confirm what should have been in my tool kit that came with my R1100S 04 boxercup bike. Although there were a few tools clearly missing BMW South London assures me this is how they were on the boxercup. I was suprised to see no wheel nut wrench etc. and would like to restore it to as it should be if anyone can supply me with the definitive list/inventory - thanks.

the toolkit oly had two optional bits in it. The wheel nut wrench is only supplied if you have a centre stand fitted at the time of purchase. The ABS feeler gauge is the other optional bit, although interestingly enough my ABS bike wasn't supplied with one, but my subsequent non ABS bike did have one. Go figure!

From memory (I don't have an R1100S any more) the other bits in the kit included a range of about 5 sizes of hex key, a screwdriver with philips head, a spark plug cover pulling tool, and some spare blade fuses.

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

That's useful - thanks for confirming that.
