Post by crucial »

This may be a question for Gus, does anyone have the id no. for the paralever bearings.(ie. front wheel bearings are 6204 and 5204) I want to source them from my local bearing supplier.

Cheers

Paul.

Paul, I got mine from Motorworks £11-95 each. I never buy my spares from the local beemer dealer 'cos I hate them!

I've just got the old ones out, they weren't too bad - I guess I could have nipped them up a bit. All the ones I heard of that have been adjusted though have failed within 2000 miles.

The rest of the bevel box looks to be ok - no excessive play at the input shaft etc. I've just drifted the old bearings out and the new ones are in the freezer at the moment. Probably won't have time to get them in today so I'll leave them there 'til tomorrow now.

Good luck with yours

No probs Paul I think I can afford a few bob to post it to you. I'll get it in the post tomorrow. I've just checked, your mail with your address has landed.

Dave

P.S. do you want my old pins? There's no wear on them at all and they're very usable.
