I've not been able to MoT my R80 RS Mono this year due to it developing a problem, the headlight works fine but the sidelight and tail light have steadfastly refused to work.
Yesterday I resolved to track down why.
After ages I finally discovered a part I'd previously flagged as good had problems. Namely the porcelain fuses, I'd visually inspected them as unblown but had failed to notice the corrosion at the end of the the fuses. Replaced with new ones and bingo all working again.
So next Monday will be new tyres and MoT time for the old girl
