Front brake light switch

Postby cornishflat » Sat Nov 08, 2014 10:17 pm

Hi all. My front brake light switch has been a little work, don,t work for a little while with the don,t work finally taking over. Before I dive in does anyone have any experience with them, ie are they repairable or is it a replace with new job.
Thanks Bry

If you mean the switch within the front brake lever housing - it's a lever operated microswitch and they can either (or both) wear where the little metal lever pivots, or (and) the little metal lever gets a touch bent and stops operating properly.

It's a finicky little job that requires a lot of thought and figuring out before you get it working properly, but it's not hard at all to actually do.
