That bike has been doing the rounds for many years and has been mentioned on here before when it's come up for sale. Would be interesting to have a ride to see what difference the changes have made.

The billet aluminium licence plate holder has to be worth an extra 5 bhp

Glad you said that as I thought it rang a bell, although my memory bell is at best sketchy.
Its one of those bikes, given the quirky spec that would take a lot of convincing for me to part with the folding.

Shirly you could build your own.

£4k is a bit tasty.

A set of 1150 GS barrels are £170 from the Bay. Not sure what compression you would get from this, but its interesting...

There's a lot more to it than just fitting the 1150 top end it won't fit without a lot of machine work

It was brought over by an American serviceman and then sold before he left as I recall. Some guy in Cambridgeshire bought it and it was back on the market not long after. I see that it made its way down to Southampton. This bike is touring the world.

I notice that he mentioned it has got the motoyoyo top and bottom brace, These are like hens teeth and well worth the money. I would buy it just to get the motoyoyo bits, but unfortunately doesn't matter how souped up the engine might be it is not going to beat a R1200S/HP2 Sport. You might want to ask for pictures of the top and bottom brace to confirm which batch it was motoyoyo did. Just do a search on pelican.

If I was after an 1100s I would either buy my old one that ive just sold or this. £4k is a good price I think. He'd take an offer I'm sure and one could sell the panniers to fund a lennies.

Got to admit £4000 is a lot for a R11 but they are making strong money now and if i was in the market for one this is one i would look at not for the extra 50cc but it has Mark's cam sprockets (Lennie ) it also has the inlet and filter sorted it's in good condition
I seem to remember it has had suspension sorted but i could be wrong on that
It's my type of bike nothing flash a bit of a sleeper wolf in sheep's clothing I'm trying to remember if it has other work on that motor cams etc in the back of my mind i think it has had the cams also the exhaust sleeves fitted and been gas flowed

It would be worth dropping San Jose a email about the bike i don't think they made many so will probably remember it

I think it's a better buy than the others that have been going recently for the same sort of money

It would definitely be on my shortlist Dai

EDIT just had another look at the pic's standard shock on the back but the standard shocs work well so that's not a problem
