Hello,
I think there is a problem with my bike and I hope you can advise please?
I wanted to set my bike to Stage 3 and carefully looked at the diagram sent by BBPower. For stage 3 it has pins 2 and 6 shorted. (as you look at the bike from the left, thats bottom centre (2) to middle left (6).

When I turned on the bike, the fuel pump was running all the time and the bike wont start. I have also tried this again with no pins connected and the same happens.

Can you advise please?
gutted

You shouldn't be able to blow the chip up from the code connector unless you've connected it to something else. Try pulling the motronic fuse to reset it. If this fails you could try reseating the chip. If that fails, refit the standard chip to make sure everything else is ok.

I have just come in from refitting the standard chip... all ok.
I suspect a problem on the bloody chip... will try your suggestion tomorrow, although i would imagine it would have had a problem when i fitted the original back in. What a bugger.
BBPwer sent me a fitting diagram for the noe 2003 onwards ie up to 2003.. It has pins 2 to 6 connected as stage 3, whcih is exactly what i did.
Miffed now... but thansk for the reply

It was fitted by BMW so its the right chip. I had it running on stage 2 fine... but added lennies etc and all i did was to switch off. remove faring and instead of no connectors at all, connected 2 to 6 for stage 3....
I agree its a chip problem though... thought maybe i'd connected wrong pins but have double checked the diagram directly sent from BBPower last week.
It does differ from the one that someone else has on the forum, but i did email BBPower and confrim it was for my bike (2002, non twin spark)
cheers
