That must have been the Lanc/Spitfire pair flying about over the solent the other day for the DDay thing. I was riding down through Bishopstoke (which is close to Eastleigh airport) that morning and heard this load noise, looked up, and bugger me if the Lanc didn't come over the houses and directly over my head at very low level. Very very very impressive it was too. Not seen/heard a Lanc in the air before, awesome beast. I think it had some Remus cans on by the sounds of it

East Goulceby (sp?)??, I take it the Lanc is "Just Jane", taxiable condition too take-off speed's but they can't afford to pay the expenses to have it certified too fly again :?

The VHRDOC have a meet each year at this Lanc and the AJS&MOC had an annual rally in the area early 90's which we went to the Lanc so that was the last time I saw it, ohhh.... when I was about 10 :D
