I did some Googling. Ooo errrr. It's like looking for hen's teeth. :(

Ventura do one but it's part of their luggage system and is tubular

http://www.Beemerboneyard.com list one but say that it fits all R850 R1100 bikes but do not specifically mention the R1100S.

Also another mention of Grab rails at http://www.NXSpowersports.com

Otherwise nothing listed and no photos of a rail like in teh picture. Could be off anther bike and "made to fit" by some enterprising owner. :)
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

T T T...... Thanks for your hard work... much appreciated.

Like you, I think this is a non BMW part "made good" for the S.

I try to encourage SWMBO to take her own bike out when we ride... but, although she is an excellent passenger....she does slide down on a very slippery seat. tried one of those "non slip" jobbies which was OK. She has only little arms and the std. grab handles are next to useless. Look nice and neat though!!!

Cheers
