Things i hate!

Post by harry3014 »

Things that really get up my shirt are:
when reading a for sale advert for a vehicle why do they need to say
02 plate or 54 plate, whats wrong with 02 reg, or 54 reg, of course its a plate, morons.
and when they say , "finished in silver" so what colour did it start with then??
and job adverts when they put the wage and say 25k
whats the k for? now i realise the meaning of the term, but what does it mean, k! why not just use the £ sign?
why do we feel the need to not use English?

just a rant, sorry

Ermm...

K and £? Not quite the same methinks.

You get cheesed off applying for a job thinking it was £25 per hour to find out it was £25K per annum?

Pedantic? Moi?

I like ranting. It's useful.

Being a ex-techie twat and the fact that 'k' seemed to come into management speak at the time of the techno revolution (i.e. any untrained idiot could use the terms) I still see a 'k' as 1024 ...

So you should push for that extra 600 quid on a 25k salary.

Thank god for BST - the dark evenings were getting tiresome

I do agree with 'ranting Harry' on the seemed need to use terms that are not required though. Hiding inadequacies?

LOL
What drugs are you lot on? Can you send me some please?
£25K instead of £25,000?? Well firstly it's cheaper to wrte "k", less text and secondly it's easier, laziness rules the world
