Mine burnt holes in the pistons at 67K.

The Blades got 73K on it now and is still going well.

Hi,

Just left mine in for it's 132,000 mile service.

Had it since new, only orginal bit is the seat and the engine block.

But the dealer creashing it caused a lot of new bits to appear.

Four drive line failures (3 sets of splines on the input shaft) and a rear drive waht-its-name turning to cheese.

It did 1.5 days at Cadwell park in July in the fast group.

Hi Chris,

Not much to report really. I pop in for a read from time to time but don't post as I generally don't have anything to contribute. The Blade has gone through one alterator and one reg/rec and that's it. Haven't needed to adjust the valves yet and it's on the original clutch. Typical boring Honda I suppose although it does have a few quirks. The fuelling is appalling at town speeds and it likes new steering bearings every 15K (the front wheel never leaves the floor).

115k and one gearbox, one clutch(at 55k) and one shaft, rebuilt rear bevel(90k)

The odd bit falls off every now and then  , but nothing too major.

Three sets of paralever bearings, but so easy to change. Right hand heated grip is still going strong with hardly any rubber left on it (been through about 5 left hand ones!!)

Used a variety off oils, currently using Chevron synthetic £10 for 4 litres from Costco. Has never been serviced by any one but me, since I bought it with 5k on the clock.

Wouldn't part with the old girl for the world :D

Lennie's intake, Bbpower chip, San Jose filter, Laser exhaust, k12 fuel reg.

I've done 3300 miles on my 12s, not bad... for the first month, collected her sept 1st from SLM and not stopped much since..

so pleased I stuck to a Bimmer, was almost tempted away to a nipponese machine..

the seat on mine is shagged after 39k...
everything else seems ok apart from usual cosmetic issues with fork legs and engine paint.

soggy rear OE shock which I would replace if I could be bothered.

one input shaft and clutch and paralever bearings plus a couple of clutch output seals when under warranty - they botched the first repair.. oh and a popped fork seal.

I think UV has killed the seat which is split where it creases under my weight... as the bike lives outside year round - all the switchgear and black plastic has faded.

Aside from that starts on the button every time

Just a shade under 84k on my '99 1100s.

Only let me down once at 47k with a blocked fuel filter. A dealer charged me £167 to 'diagnose' and fix the problem, and that was the last time the bike ever went near a dealer.

Do all my own servicing and use Texaco semi-synth oil from Morrisons at £13 for 5L with the bike never using any oil between changes, but it does get an easy life being used for commuting and doing mostly motorway miles.

Original clutch, gearbox and bevel box, replaced: 1 set paralever bearings, 1 front disc, rear shock, rear silencers and two sets of front disc wavey washers.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with it.

I just put another 770 on at the weekend and am now up to 18740. I think it had about 16k on it when I bought it in June.

You're a weekend out. I just did all of that this weekend. It was great.
