Leaky Daytonas!

Post by bigblackfalco »

One of my Daytona Goretex Bandit XCR's has sprung a leak.
The boots are about 6 months old.
Has anyone had dealings with the Daytona customer support in Germany??

Be interested to see if they'll deal with you, going over the UK importers head is usually frowned on.

I've been told their customer service is excellent, particularly on repairs. Why not phone the shop you bought them from first?

Oh, Bailey, now I'm back you can collect the tyre,

I emailed Germany and got an auto reply in german which I think says they are closed for holiday till early September. I bought them from Infinity in Guilford but I think this branch is no more??
I do know the manager of the Twickenham branch so I'll ring him.
Will ring you next week Henry!

After a few months use, I found fault with the in-sole of a pair of Daytona boots. I took them back to the retailer with my receipt, and the dealer posted them to Daytona. Repair was done and boots were returned to the dealer within a couple of weeks. No costs to me. I was able to use my old bike boots whilst waiting for their return.

Boots have been excellent ever since and have now covered in excess of 50k miles without leaks or any further complaint.

I know someone who has also had their boots refurbished by Daytona. Came back looking like almost like new.

The importer change 18 months or so ago, from 'Tonys of Prestatyn' to some corperate mob darn sarf,i've had my Winners done twice the first time they were cheap, the second time it would have been cheaper buying a new pair, which i'd already got,but they don't fit as good as the old u'ns!!.

The UK importer you need to speak to.

To be honest they've never been marketed all that well, they've a habit of getting a bit Germanic when i comes to their product!!,their the only people who refuse to pay racers to wear their boots, free product,no problem, but no cash!!,for the simple reason they beleave their product is so much better, and despite all manafactures makeing efforts still are.

I can't remember ever going into a shop and seeing a full product line of Daytonas, just down to crap marketing.

Infinity Guildford IS still there, but the petrol station is being rebuilt/removed.

Take them back - the Daytona importers will get them repaired replaced, and should give you a pair of replacements to use until it's finished.

I believe Infinity Farnborough have a good stock - but would HEARTILY recommend Steve Jordan Motorcycles in Bookham - i think they are doing Daytona again now.
