Last Day

Post by sproggy »

Today's my last day at work for over a month :blob2: :blob3: :blob4: :blob5: :blob7: :blob8: :hello1:

Tomorrow morning the bike and I depart for Florence - I'm going back to school to learn my wife's language properly. 4 weeks of intensive, total-immersion Italian should see me reasonably fluent or.......with an exploded brain from the sheer effort. There's a reason why they stop trying to teach people stuff in their late teens/early twenties..........

So I'll be gone from this 'ere forum until July unless something goes wrong with the bike in which case I may well be back to consult the collective oracle that is Boxertrix.

Arrivederci a tutti 8)

One of the weekend trips I've got planned is up the Futa Pass (where the Multistrada is claimed to have been developed/tested) to Bologna to see the Ducati museum and, hopefully, factory. But my experience of Ducati ownership (an ST2) makes me think that the experience doesn't justify the depth of pocket that's needed for ownership. Particularly if you do a lot of miles.

Sproggy - Have a good one over there and don't forget to take some pics and post them to the site when you get back.

I won't have a computer, or regular access to one (internet cafes will be my only opportunity and that'll just be to catch up on emails) so there'll be no pics while I'm away. I'll be incommunicado. A month without a computer - is such a thing possible? At least I'll have the bike - that's the main thing.
