Actually he never did realise. We had to bump start in the holding area and then Mr Enthusiasm set off to the grid without me. He saw the flags and assumed it was someone in trouble behind him on the grid. I got a lift up the straight with Bob&Lynn and jumped on the platform, just in time for John to turn round, see me and assume all was fine. oh well..... as they say, it's always the passengers fault!
The most embarassing thing was to look up and see Tim Reeves, current world sidecar champion who I know well enough, pissing himself laughing on the pitlane wall.
We saw you Sunday morning by the market just leaving as we pulled in, and your mate came by the awning on sunday for a chat aswell.
