Hi Folks
I'd like your opinion please. I got this bike from my daughters pal. It was run for a few months from new in 03. Having done 600 miles from it's first dealer service. Then parked up until it's 3rd birthday in July. It's a bit heavy for me so I'm trying to sell it before I drop it. So can you please give me an idea of the value.

"The Book" price is shown below, though you may be better off having a look on Biketrader and going from there.
I'm not exactly tall and have no problem moving her around so I'm sure you'll be fine, it's just a case of getting rid of those nerves!
Would be such a shame to sell up and loose a fair amount of money, but I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide!
I'd really suggest keeping hold of her until Spring and trying her out. She'd be a great upgrade from an F650 and really isn't anywhere near as heavy once moving as she seems once moving.Parkers wrote:BMW R1100 S - ABS2003/03

Hi adski
Thanks for the lone reply. I didn’t really buy it as an upgrade although you’re dead right it is. I’ll be hanging on to it until next spring at least anyway. I just hope someone is willing to pay over “Book” for the low mileage and condition as I did. As you say it’s only when pushing the bike around that the weight shows. In the old days, I had a K100RT and used to load that up to the brim. It was OK till all the luggage was strapped to it. >> it's just a case of getting rid of those nerves!<<< I’m only bothered about pushing it around. Once it’s on the road I’ve no problem.
When I bought it, similar bikes were selling for over £6K in the dealers and with four times the mileage. So it looks like it’s another keeper for now. Loosing money isn’t an option so I hope the “new” bars and footrests go on OK.
Another Black and Decker job
