Hi Chaps, I notice on my recent purchase that the 1100s has RUBBER Brake hoses. I am sure these are std. as the bike is only 3 years old. I am surprised at this as the 1100s was classed as the "sportsbike" of the range.
Did the Boxer cup replica come with rubber hoses?
I have looked on Motorworks' online catalogue and they do not have a set listed for my model.... 2003 non ABS.. Do you know of any options for me??
Thanks in anticipation
Stuart

Goodridge do a kit. They were about £120 in Motorworks' sale a couple of years ago. I bought a set for £80 but sent them back cos they retain all the BMW metal pipe connections which I wanted ot get rid of.
I will have a set made at some point.
Front = 2 hoses direct from Master Cylinder to each caliper;
Rear = 1 hose direct from cylinder to caliper.
Why are you suprised? Rubber hoses are every bit as good as ss hoses, with the exception that you have replace them every 4-5 years. The problem with rubber hoses is when they age and get porous(sp) and start to swell.
Hi there Goodrich do hose kits and "off the peg" kits called BUILDALINE. You buy the banjo bolts and hoses separately, I did the front of my R1100 s for under £50!, the rear will prob cost another £20 when I get round to it.
