>>>>I think I might have seen you at Cadwell park<<< Twas ME
I got a warning for scaring the young folk by diving underneath them and passing on the right.. On my last Hopprider the new Telefix fork brace snapped and I lost the front at the left after Mansfields. The instructor said with more training he could make me into a good rider. I recon I’d go to Ron Haslam for any of that. Not been though. “Old dog new tricks”
I didn’t start getting my knee down till I was 60. I went to Circuit Carole France for 2 days of tuition from a GP rider Nicolas Dussauge He now runs the French cadet scheme. He encouraged me to try it as I’d never bothered before. I hadn’t realised the racket the plastic slider makes.
While we were there a Paris TV crew shot a load of tape for a safety film. To show the youngsters you’re never too old to learn. We all got a copy of tape they shot although they only use a small amount in the film. There’s one bit with me passing the camera that was placed on a box. ( after I hit one of the marker cone with my knee and it hit the camera guy ) With the Funduro being so quiet all that can be heard is the knee slider scraping by.
That was quite a trip in 2003. To celebrate my 60th I did a track day at Assen with the Ducati Club. Went to watch the bike GP at Le Mans then the two days at Carole. After two days on track ( + 2 runs at Assen) the back tyre was melted.
Where's that skip??
BTW..
I just blagged a (scrapped) Metz Sportec M-1 with a very small nail in the centre of the tread. It’s still got the molding pips in the centre. “Thank you I’ll take that” as I run with tubes.
YES!! I will remove the nail.

I’ll also “Super Plug” ( like string with rubber goop) the hole. Works very well for small holes.
