Track day anyone

Post by Ade B »

Am determined to dust down the R6 next week and enjoy the sun. Anyone up for a trackday? Would go as far north as Mallory (Cadwell too far for a day).

There is a couple on at Silverstone, one at Snetterton, and I think one at Brands.

Come on down to a FLASH weekend break in South West France!

too much!

it varies from £60 to £160+

I paid £120 for the Silverstone GP circuit which seems cheap as they usually charge more for the 'proper' circuits...

Ade, Let me know when you are next going. I have done the superbike school earlier this year at Rockingham and I plan to do Brands fairly soon. Send me a PM when you do. I don't get to lurk around here as much no I don't have the S any more. :(

Silverstone washout... :?

Booked tuesday (apparently glorious sunshine) changed to Wednesday to fit in with mate. Mate doesn't turn up - it rains

heavily..

No problem, track will soon dry - late morning, dry lines appearing

rains again

so I gave up and came home..

whilst I'm all for practicing wet weather technique and feeling the bike slide around, I'm not for practicing picking it out the gravel.

and trackdays are no fun unless you can cane the tits off the bike and drag your knee all over the place...

Hey ho.

BMWonder if you PM me your details, I'll let you know when I plan the next one (if at all....)

Bugger! Sounds a nightmare. I have done a wet track day at Silverstone as well. Not fun. There's no shelter there and it's on top of a hill! It get the worst of whatever weather is going and you got some bad weather! :(

When you have to wear your waterproofs over your leathers its just not fun. They must have been going down like skittles all day?

surprisingly no one fell off when I was there for the morning sessions - I think most of the serious guys were running wets or intermediates and seemed to know what they were doing - the rest of us just wobbled around very cautiously.

will possibly book another one this month cashflow and weather permitting..

Will let you know.
