new buttons...

Postby Paul » Thu Apr 20, 2006 5:46 pm

Hi folks,

I've just added some new buttons to the forum pages to take you to the other parts of the Boxertrix site, outside of the forums. Take a look at the content, some of which is very definately a work in progress, and let me know what additional content it would be useful to add on to make this a one stop shop for information for R1100S riders.

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

It's bright! 8) Maybe a little too bright? Perhaps it's just late for my eyes. :coffee: :sleepy2:

It still looks as though you don't actually have to pay for anything in the Shop. Perhaps an explanation of how you are contacted in order to pay or something as there is no direct 'secure payment' immediately obvious.

And I think I'm going to treat myself to a(nother) fleece. Oh, gut (sic) feeling on sizing would be useful too - just how large is 'Large'?

Hi Me-109,

Thanks for the feedback! When you say too bright, do you mean the lovely arctic white background to the other pages, or the bright blue buttons?

I'll update the shop with sizing guidelines and making the pricing a bit more obvious. I could add payment by Paypal, but that would add a small cost to each shirt to cover Paypal's transaction fees.

Cheers,

Paul

Well done Paul, a very good improvement, especially the pictures of me.

That'll be the picture taken in Cognac?

I notice that Gary, being Australian, is the only one in the pic wearing a pullover :D

Talking of which, anyone heard from him?

Paul,

That's quick work on the Shop! Thanks.

Yes, to the white. For me it really glares - I do enough pc work through the day without my eyes being scorched on a night. Maybe it's a result of the work I do? For me a pale, icy blue page background would be better - a bit like the current pale backgrounds on the forums. Then maybe add a darker alternate background on the DBs to add some contrast?

The button colours are great, really sharp and standout. I'd just been thinking that on the old boards there was no way back to the main site - unless I was missing something? - and then you go and add one in. Super! Smashing! Great! (for Reggie Perrin fans).

Richard,

I thought the same thing about the jumper, obviously not hot for him.

I am also in the background on the Burton pic, and my ex BCR is the middle bike in the other pic of Burton (boy I do miss that bike, pre accident).

Will have to get the K1200R on some other pic's to be posted. And there is always the chance of getting snapped in France in May again.

Managed to find a pot of Dulux Magnolia sitting at the back of the shed and applied it to the other pages. Howzat? I didn't get where I am today by not listening to constructive feedback.
