Car driver rear ended me this morning :x Waiting to pull out at a round about, I edge forward two feet car driver edges forward three feet

Smashed no. plate and cracked mounting plate on my Laser exhaust, the guy pulls a twenty pound note out of his wallet and is suprised when I tell him to stick it etc.

Does anyone know the retail price of Laser cans these days?

Aww, you should've taken it. All that beer to help write out the claim form! Just imagine his face as you stuff the dosh into your pocket as you ask for his insurance details! :P
Sorry it happened. It some countries you would be at fault for braking too hard. :x
Any chance of other damage? Might be an idea to get your garage give it a once over just in case. You may as well make a crisis out of a drama .............

I got rear ended by a Police van in similar circumstances. It was a bloody nightmare. Had to wait for over an hour for a traffic cop to come and investigate as the original driver (who was 12 I think! Well he hadn't started shaving yet) couldn't do anything because it was his accident. Dealing with the Met insurance was a nightmare. In the end my insurance company issued a court summons to the original copper, then they paid up! Took about three months.

Hope yours get sorted quickly?

It should be pretty basic shouldn't it? You keep your eyes on the vehicle in front on a roundabout, and NOT on the vehicles on the roundabout. Both me and Tony have been clobbered from the back (both times by bikes) due to someone assuming we were going to go immediately onto a junction, rather than wait for oncoming traffic. Both riders were extrememy embarrassed at making such a basic error in front of their mates.
Hope everything pans out OK with the claim.
Suggest you Google search for current prices then add on a bit 'cos they are cheaper on the 'net!

What Bob said, except I'd also be tempted to drop it into the dealers and get them to give it a once over, they're unlikely to miss anything that they could charge for .

Went to check the bike over yesterday only to discover oil all over the back wheel

It would appear the damage is worse than I first thought
