After fitting new pads took the bike out for a short trip
After getting back left for 5mins went to go out again and silence from the starter button + no lights + no indicators!, all the dash works as does the front and rear brake lights, fuel pump primes neutral light is on, tried with the clutch in but no go, checked fuses by indicator pods and they are all ok, haven't had time yet to check the relays until this weekend.

Hi Kev, did you check both fuse boxes?
Hopefully this link will help? I know it references an RT but the 259's are pretty similar through the range

For what its worth, once or twice , when I had mine, despite the neutral light on, had to kick it into gear , then back in neutral, to get it to work.
Maybe a slightly sticky neutral light, or bad connection to a relay.
Never investigated it further to be honest, just accepted it as a quirck .
