new suspension - boxer cup
just bought new nitron front and rear suspension for the boxer cup, nitron had the correct sizes for the bike at the factory went for the r3 for the rear which might be overkill but the r2 was only 90 quid cheaper, look forward to them being built, sent and fitted in around 4 weeks time.

Re: new suspension - boxer cup
Sounds good. Let us know your thoughts after fitting them.
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
Re: new suspension - boxer cup
certainly will do, only 2 hesitations -
maybe should have got the preload adjuster but was convinced by the shop i didnt need it
I lose the adjuster on the handle bar yolk for the front.
once off ill get the original shocks rebuilt over time.

Re: new suspension - boxer cup
wont be 4 weeks maybe i was too optimistic?
fitting will be first week in june as the garage I use is booked up till then, asked for the rear subframe to be powder coated and some other bits and bobs

Re: new suspension - boxer cup
June ended up as july but got the bike back with freshly powder coated sub frame and bits here and there, new brake lines and the new nitron suspension fitted, engine service and fresh mot last Thursday evening.
took it out saturday for around 25 miles and initial thoughts were -
the ride was a little softer and certainly more compliant, rode any bump in the road nicely with no jolting or fuss
I'm not sure whether I am kidding myself but it felt that it tipped into bends a lot easier although I cant see why this would be the case?
I'll post some pics over the weekend and some more detailed thoughts if the weather holds up.

Re: new suspension - boxer cup
There is a school of thought that upgrade of rear shock and letting telelever front do its thing is the way to go. I tried with mine fitting WILBERS front & rear..made a huge improvement but swapped front back to stock and it felt just as good
