New Bavarian Tractor
After much soul searching and procrastination; I have let go of my Mamola and gone for this little Bavarian Beauty.
She arrived yesterday, so roll on the better weather to get some miles done.

Very nice. Shame about the injured header pipes... When do the bandages come off

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
Re: New Bavarian Tractor
You need to spend more time tending your lawn instead of messing about with motorbikes.

Yes, Herb, I know. The BMW garage wouldn't put anything else on, so I will change it to something slightly smaller - albeit still legal (hopefully).
Can anyone here tell me if I am allowed to place 3 rows as opposed to 2 on the plate? Therefore making it taller but slimmer.

Hello Reg, good to hear from you again.
Yes, the garden has taken a bit of a hammering lately with our 2 mad dogs.

Yes Mitch, it's the high level Ackrapovic with the baffle removed. Nice sound.

Re: New Bavarian Tractor
So, do you have any plans to customise/modify your new steed in any way? There seems to be a ton of stuff out on the interweb for owners to personalise their R9T's
Cheers,

For me, this type of arrangement is more elegant.
To answer your question, 3 line number plates are not allowable, assuming you are staying strictly within the law.

Re: New Bavarian Tractor
Thanks for that Herb.
Yes, I have seen those type and they are cleaner and less obtrusive. I bought the bike, as you see it, from the dealer but I am giving consideration to making a few changes.
The dealer used Rizoma bling and it's not cheap, although Wunderlich to a more reasonably priced plate holder as per your image.
I will give it a while and see what's best.

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... plates.pdf
"The characters on the number plate must be set out over two lines and must be displayed on all motorcycles registered on or after 1 January 1973."
Thing is everyone of the 5 K100RS's I had from 1985 to 2007 had 3 line vertical plates fitted

Hello Ian, great to hear from you. I think it will still be too big for me pal.
Are you still up in Gods Country?
