AfterMarket Exhaust

Post by GunK190 »

Hi I guess this may have been covered many times before but would just like to ask if anyone can tell me what aftermarket exhaust system are available for the R1100s. I've been searching without to much success to see what systems are readily available in the the UK.
At the moment I have a VanDeLinde system fitted to my 2001 's' but it as some signs of corrosion appearing. I have email the VDL company in South Africa and I'm waiting to see if I get a reply.
What I have found on the web gives very little information so any help would be much appreciated

Not too many these days............

There is a Remus on Ebay just now - see the Ebay links section.

Staintune (S/H) come up occasionally, but tend to be pricey.

VanDeLinde Exhaust

Post by GunK190 »

I recently emailed Etienne VanDeLinde in South Africa to see if they still make the exhaust system I have on my bike and I'm glad to say they do.
These they will ship to Heathrow for £700 but I'm not sure how bad you would be hit for import charges or tax, you know what money grabbing bastards this or come to think about any government are

VAT, Import duty, and they base that on item price AND the carriage charge

That Remus is (so far) - a good price

I have been in contact with Etienne Van de Lindne and his company still produces the exhaust for the R1100s. They are made to order and cost £700 plus £20 to insure with a£50 excess
