It was interesting having a chat with one of the handlers at Hendon a few years ago (the RAF Central Band - my old band - used to provide the music for the Met's pass-out parades). He was explaning how the Belgians are used in 'high aggression' situations - GSD's being bred more and more for even temprament didn't have the 'go' (his word) of years ago, although he did say that breeds seem to have a habit of re-appearing over time.

Wonderful animals, all. :)

Picked this up today...

Then straight away went for a walk and took this (to make sure it was working ok):

Fortunately you can't see the dreaded Nikon oil-spots-on-sensor in the image of Steep Hill. They are there though. :(

Works really well with the manual-focus AI Nikkor, really easy to use. :)

Thanks Steve - quite liking it so far, and the AI works really nicely. Focusing is straightforward (thanks to the in-viewfinder guidance) and exposure is spot-on.

Need to take it in to have the sensor looked at though as there are a couple of the dreaded Nikon oil-blobs on it. Camera's low mileage (around 11k actuations) and generally in good nick.
