R1200S Cylinder head torque settings

Post by Gooner »

Hi
Can anyone tell me the torque setting for the 4no cylinder head bolts please and are they easy enough to remove as i have some carbon head covers to install. Started to wind them out and thought better of it. Is there anything i need to do first apart from presumably catch the residue of oil when released. I was also going to do a filter and oil change at the same time as although the bike has done little mileage (5k) when i bought it, it was last serviced 18 months ago at a official dealer but done very little mileage since then. What are the main service intervals for valve clearances etc etc

Thanks for any help

So - just the head covers?

Cyl head cover to cyl head

M6 x 72mm, tighten diagonally in sequence to a final torque of 10Nm

(from the maint CD)

If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....
