I still might go for a R1100S (54 plate style) Boxer Cup if a minter comes up again as well.

What do you all think?
I'd have that in a heartbeat. But I just bought a new car so there is no more money for a while.

If the colours are important, then buy it and accept my jealousy. If not, there are a couple of cheaper ones on ebay that may be slightly better value..

There are others around but if they are in Dorset you will spend that getting it back to Scotland.

Bike's worth what you are willing to pay for it. £5k is not a bargain but its not daylight robbery either.

If you're in a rush to buy then it could be the one, but there will be others come along.

FFS :!:  Make your mind up Tav, 04 BCR`s are coming up 11 years old, anyone even with the brain of an Amoeba who has a MINTER aint gonna sell it to you!! Only 70 or so came into the UK = Rare = Scarce = high premium. Your pocket will only buy a squat Mammary and as said you may well as have a sport s.

Buy something please! and you tell us all about it

Edit, BTW BMW`s "prettiest bike" Puts the rider at Moto cross height makes the ride feel like you want to attack every bend, makes all the sense in the world in 3rd gear ratio makes no sense at all in 1st and 2nd around town :) but then which big twin does? becoming a collectors bike. Miles better with the full decat system £600 premium for that alone. Oh I forgot you can take your missus and luggage all over Europe on it too. :)

Hi Boxerscott. I know I've gone back and forth a bit. I just haven't found quite the right bike yet or I've seen some good ones that are just overpriced.

When the right one comes up I'll pull the trigger don't worry!

I'm actually a really fast decision maker if the bike is in front of me. The problem is this is all being done over the net and looking at pictures.

Blackal wrote:If selling prices are around £6k for a Mamola version - and the new price was £9k? (the RWB was £9,200 from memory) -

I'm trying to think of any other bike which isn't a true classic construction (Duc 916, SP-1/SP-2 etc) - which has retained that much value after 13-14 yrs?

Even if you take the average price of a good one at £5,300 - it's amazing.

Al :?
Well done. I have an original invoice for a RWB BCR dated 24 Sep 2004.

Bike £8,925.75
Delivery £176.25
Tax £60
Reg fee £38

OTR £9,200

And I can tell you it didn't depreciate very much between then and April this year - when I bought it :D

And regards the pricey R1200S - I'd go find a nice clean sport without the lookalike paint job.
Carpe Diem!

Big Tav, have you found one yet? If not, I saw this on Gumtree this morning - 1 owner RWB BCR in Jedburgh that looks pretty clean in the pictures, and sounds pretty well looked after if the owners description is to be believed. Go and have a look!

I have no connection to the seller, etc...
