Been looking through the threads and confused!

What is the best stand for a BCR (2003) so you dont have to keep taking the belly pan off to get it upright please.

How do the axel stands work, where does the bar go

Geoff - ABBA (not the Dancing Queens) now do a workshops stand for the S - I believe Lloyd (Boxerpan) uses one. It fits onto the swingarm spindle point on the frame.

I've got one of their stands which I use on the Triumph and it's a very solidly made, quality piece of kit.

The ABBA stand is my choice simply because it comes with adapters for most bikes known to man, so you can change bikes or have more than one

Super stable with a wide spread.

Lloyd, I have the ABBA stand too, but I can't use it on my own, as the sidestand fouls it, the only way I get around it is for somone to hold the bike upright while I attach the stand. Do you have the same problem?

I use the NWS stand as used by the UK Boxer Cup Team. A bit fiddly, but looks good when in use.

Because it mounts on the rear pillion mounts it does not interfere in any way with bellypans or sidestands or, in fact, anything in the middle.

I am thinking about getting the NWS front stand and then, even more than usual, everything can be up in the air.

Nope, I put the n/s part of the stand in front of the sidestand then go round and slide the o/s leg on and get it all tightened up. Put the bike upright and as the bike rolls onto the Abba the sidestand retracts.
Bear in mind that I may have different shock length/torque arm/sidestand length to you - they all have an effect as to where the Abba sets up.

Hmm,

The nws stand appears to be £60 odd quid more than the abba one. Not sure if i can spot exactly where the £60 quid has been spent..

Vienna,

I have had the Abba stand for years and used it on all sorts of bikes.

I have a BCR, and yes it does work with the belly pan on. The only thing is you need to be carefull. It does touch the belly pan slightly when you place the N/S part through, then attached the O/S, tighten the screw up. Then up right the bike and pull it back. I have used it on numerous occasions and it has never caused damage.

i have a NWS 'ulti-lift' (?) and want to use it on the BCR
i have just got - i assume the right-hand end of the swingarm pivot is
behind the small plate (with 4no. bolts) and that it is ok to remove said
plate to insert the tapered pin of the stand...? or am i mssing something?

why have they put a cover plate over that side??
