Every so often (but very, very rarely) a new bike comes along which just seems 'right' somehow. Sure the clocks look a tad large, and perhaps the headlight is a bit ickle, but just look at the rest of it - blummin' gorgeous. A big, hefty (240kg wet) lump of motorcycle.
And only £8.4k (not that I can afford it).
Hopefully Yamaha will do a yellow/black speed block version.

I have to say yours is a half decent image of it. the earlier ones I'd seen did it no favours for me. Perhaps I'd have to see one in the flesh but I'm losing interest in manufacturers getting on this 'modern Hipster custom' scene. I like the r -nine-t but its got that hipster flat seat and this old XJ just looks like a bit of a rush job. That being said, If I ever had a IL4 again it would have to be a lump like this (although as I get older I should be looking at light bikes) Side panels are particularly ugly mind...
Doesn't look as good here and it definitely needs a different pipe. It looks at least a foot too long.
Hmmmm
TBH, I think I still prefer the old one and perhaps tweak it a little (minus the rim tape) I think I'm just pissed that all those lovely old airheads and classic Jap bikes are being turned into ugly Hipster bikes and the prices are going through the roof.

OK, I'll concede a little. While I still prefer the blue out of all of them it 'does' look a lot better with a tail tidy and an Akra pipe. Also an actual video of it helps as well. I could be swayed but I still don't like the side panels.

To me it seems they're chasing the new cafe racer style à la R9T, Guzzi V7 Racer. Agree length of pipe is ridiculous as is rear tail light assembly...wat's wrong with Yellow RIM TAPE
