France and Spain trip

Quick stop just off the ferry, in the hills above Santander:

Biarritz:

Top of the Col du Tourmalet (brand new rear tyre!):

Frosty early morning, having just crossed the Pyrenees in to Spain:

A very happy wrong turning that ended by a beautiful lake in the Pyrenees:

So many more amazing places I wish I had pictures of. Thinking of mounting a camera on the bike for next time, so I can snap away while riding. Some of the scenery was just amazing, and the Spanish roads were just epic.

An amazing trip, and I can't wait for the next one!

Not that many - probably did about 1200 miles all in all, roughly 2000km.

Longest day was about 300 miles - I didn't want to push things too far, and we made that a nice balance of twisty stuff and a bit of motorway to eat up the miles.

The bike was magnificent, as was my pillion!

Glad you enjoyed the trip and the R1100S delivered for you both. In 2003-2005 I lived in Pau, and had my S there. We covered much the same routes. Happy memories.
