Come on Steve, read the rules. RIOTD (and Photographer's Corner for that matter) is for non-bike photos only.

'Twas indeed a crackin bike though

Oops I forgot the rule. However in my defence, it's not just a photo of a bike, it's art.

Deliberate. It's called shallow depth of field.

In fairness I could have stopped it down a little more but it wasn't my intention to have the whole bike in focus.

I like that Steve - it's got a slight Tilt-shift lens look about it. 8)

Thanks Richard. I appreciate that from someone who knows their way around a camera. Shallow DOF and a near tilt shift effect is quite easy with Medium Format. It lends itself very well to it and the hasselblad lenses give a lovely bokeh.

Yep appreciate the shallow depth of field but sorry doesn't work for me - just my opinion and no offence meant. I do love the tones tho. Never got to use medium format just lowly 35mm, plus I could never take a good photo!! I preferred the dark room to being behind the camera - reminds me I've still got a Durst enlarger if anyone's interested in buying it

Took the kids to Belton House today to make the most of the warm weather. A place we absolutely love (we get back our NT membership fee several times over, we visit that often) and today with the Autumn sunshine the place looked utterly stunning. A 'feel good' day if there ever was one...

Seeing as it's 25 years ago tonight since the fall of the Berlin Wall, thought this may be timely. This is looking west through the Brandenburg Gate from the former East Berlin - we'd crossed from the West via Checkpoint Charlie for an offical Forces' visit to the East. A day I'll never forget - the place looks more than a little different now...

And somewhat more recently...
