Haha! I knew I’d get a comment like that, on the pic!

But, actually, that bike was so well balanced, and had a neutral steering, so that stunt was perfectly safe to do.

Loved everything about it apart from the engine.
The 270 degree crank was supposed to mimic the power delivery of the V twins that were in vogue at the time.
It fell way short, lumpy and almost unridable at low revs in town, and a bit asthmatic at the top end.
The good news was the mid-range was very torquey. The bad news was when you were exploiting this the clutch would slip.
However it was quick enough to outpace a chipped ST220, so the officer informed me when he lit the lights :oops:

Overall wasn't sorry to see it go
