R1200S throttle action

This has got me thinking about the throttle on my HP2?
I can't say I have ever noticed a non linear throttle response on mine and I can't recall it ever being discussed on an HP2 forum so I assume it doesn't have one (unless someone can tell me different?)
Would it be possible to swap to an HP2 throttle assembly or are they completely different??

Edit: just checked the parts catalogue and they show the same image but have different part numbers so maybe...............?
The part number for the HP throttle is 61317694850, R1200S is 61317685498

The HP2 has a different (bigger) throttle body and does not have the non linear throttle pull of the 12S.
That being said, the HP2 parts might fit the 12S throttle body?
If I get a chance, I'll have a real good look at my 12S and HP2 someday.

So I have it and I've fitted it. Well, it is better but still not perfect. I'll keep it and see how I feel over the summer. At least it doesn't need to be dropped into a lower gear all the time now. At a medium speed I appear to be nearer the power at the same sort of speeds and gears that I was in before the mod on roads that i know very well. It took ten minutes messing about to work out exactly where I was supposed to install it as there were no instructions or even a photocopied pic to help. I also had to take a stanley knife to the new cover (an already modified standard BMW part) in order to stop the throttle jamming on it.
Overall it appears to have made a difference so i'lll see how my wrist feels after my next long ride.

As I said it doesn't get rid of the non linear action. It just allows you to open the throttle quicker to get past it. Not perfect, I know. But at the moment it's the best we got until someone finds out exactly what's needed to rid the non linear action.
I had no problems fitting mine, ten minute job. Had no issues with sticking throttle. The instructions are not brilliant but do steer you in the right direction.
