Never mind your VFR I suggest for the three wheeler project "One Black one, one white one and one with fairy light on..........."
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

Maybe I'll paint the bike white and have a green and orange wheel, or maybe a slight variation on the grey above might do it :?

Even more confused now

Hmmm, where've I seen that colour recently? Oh yeah, HMS Bulwark out in Weymouth Bay

Shame about the 'project' Nigel, though I can understand it. No, I don't want the bugger back :D

Is that a 'local' forum for 'local' people? :D

Well, if you can get a picture of the finished article, I'd love to see it.

Finally got around to tidying up the wheels , I listened to all the advice and decided to stick with Essex girls shoes.....
Image

At some stage the wheels appear to have had polished outer rims with painted centres , it had been suggested on the vfr forum , a little too complicated for me and I needed the bike rolling again ...
Image
Etch primer
Image

Fibre washers between the wheel and disc :?
Image
I then went out and got the wheels dirty  The finish isn't great but if I still have the bike when it needs new tyres again I may get them refinished professionally.
I fitted cheapo Maxxis tyres and went from a 180 rear to a 170 , they seem to work better than squared off 021's.
It really needs a new shock , fork upgrade , matching paint on panels... I think i'll just keep riding it.

And yes I did forget to paint the centre of the rear wheel ...

Looking good!
I used to have an 8 spoke rear for mine. Love the look of it, but couldn't get used to the quirky handling of the wider rim (5.5 vs 5.0 of the later 5 spoke).
Do you run a 180 or 170 section tyre on it?

I just removed a squared off 180 021 and fitted a 170 (Maxxis  ), feels better already!

Hmmm, White wheels, nice. Why not attract some opprobrium from the Taliban wing of Boxertrix by following my lead and adding some rim tape?

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

Ahhh yes, now I see the yellow (I have budget tyres) Maxxis emblems.
Loved the Supersport front :)

I like my VFR, too - it's a real ratty shed (as you'd expect with around 140k miles on it), but has a very nice hand made stainless exhaust on it - with a choice of quiet, loud and 'fück me, that's offensive' cans for it.

The electrics are a bit iffy, as it stood outside in my brother's garden for 4 or so years before I bought it - so I've just grabbed a 2nd hand loom from a low mileage bike off eBay, which I plan to fit next weekend.

Then I'll do the clutch and take it to Llandow for a track day.

Keep everything original. Best way to go when comes to selling on IMHO
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)

started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
