FOOKING HELL! This is one fast bike!

Handles like the old RT, which is good in my book, has excellent suspension, and is super smooth.

As for acceleration, I've only had a few chances to open it up today (had xmas stuff to do so just been riding in and around Sheffield town centre), but every time I've had a chance to go for it, I've bottled red lining 2nd gear! Not sure what 7k, 8k, 9k, and 10k are for, at 6/7k in any gear it's really shifting and way louder than any bike I've ever owned!

I was worried it would be 'gutless' in top gear and need to be downshifted and revved quite hard to get any torque out of it (after coming from twins), but no - Top gear roll-ons are epic, 60 turs to 90 effortlessly!

It's actually very easy to ride (although it could easily creep from 30 to 40 without you realising), but I imagine once your brave enough to ride it at the redline it could be a real handfull, and a quick way to see you licence disapear!

Wind protection seems good, not quite as good as an RT, but still good. It's also comfy and comes with enough gadgets to keep me busy for a while.

Only down side so far.... For the first time since doing my CBT, I have a bike that does'nt engine brake much, if at all, which is very strange for me.... but it's worth it for the smoothness of the 4 cylinder engine.

All in all, I think Steve's description of 'Ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing' is very fitting, and I can't wait to take it touring!

excellent, welcome to the world of loopy bikes

The acceleration is addictive, up to 7000 rpm it accelerates hard, then at 7k there's a harsh change to the intake/exhaust and it then gets on cam and goes like a rocket!

Great to see you're as impressed as I am with mine. If someone's not tried one they need to as it's like a sports bike with armchair comfort. Stunningly though the S1000RR made it feel a bit slow!!

The K is an awesome bike! I've been riding it without the panniers and bars/screen in the low position and its like a comfy sports bike! Love it!

Cheers Steve, the alarm one is very handy!

I've just found and carried out the clutch adjustment trick, now my only gripe with the bike is sorted!

. I did slightly melt a bit of plastic in the process, but its hidden and doesn't affect anything....

One to stop the clutch engaging in the last mm of lever travel!

There's a grub screw in the lever with a pin on the back side that pushed the cylinder, unfortunately its held in with red loctite.... Hence heat gun and the mentioned melted plastic...

A few turns out and the clutch is much better.

ah right, I don't mind the clutch as is apart from it being a bit heavy, I curse myself that I missed out on an Evoluzione Clutch Slave cylinder on ebay as they make them a lot lighter apparently.. and they're not made any more. I keep looking out for them but no joy.. Oh while we're on the clutch don't forget it doesn't use brake fluid it uses mineral oil.

Going to leave the fluid changes to Rainbow I think anyway, after all the pissing around with the RT think I'm off home mechanicing for a while!

I could have got use to the clutch as it was, but thought I try and adjust if there's a way.
