2005 Boxercup question

Post by Kinhellfire »

Hi guys

I am presently negotiating to buy my very first BMW. A 2005 Boxercup replica with 22000 miles on the clock. The bike has a decent history and has been really well cared for but I just wondered if there will be anything major required at the 24000 mile service?
Somebody mentioned that there is a fuel filter in the tank that needed changed at around this mileage which is quite a big job.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

It's not really a big job, just fiddly and a pain in the arse. BMW in their infinite wisdom decided that the hole for the plate that the fuel pump is attached to needed to be just a little bit too small so you have to keep jiggling it and spinning it round to get it out.

Shouldn't be too expensive but after doing the fuel filter once I think I'd rather pay someone else to do it next time.

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.
