the ergonomics seem nicer on the 1100S, slightly less cramped, the ride feels better, it certainly looks much better
1200ST...quicker(just),smoother(without a doubt),faster(just),lighter(just), more economic, mostly easier to work on (I think), pannier luggage better, topbox easier, that's why it's ...

just got back from 4 days at Nurburgring
just got back from 4 days at Nurburgring, my first time, what an awesome circuit!
I saw the most R1100S's I ever did see ever, far outnumbering everything else from the BMW stable put together (mostly GS a few K1200 and very few 1200S - one black and flourescent yellow schnitzer looked very nice ...

just started journey home and my local petrol station is 35 miles away. took easy for the first 10 miles and I arrived ...

Tyre (and suspension) suggestions for 1200ST
currently have bt020's but am not happy the bike seems to be sliding more than I would like (probably go for Avon storms next)
....maybe it's the suspension settings - only on Normal (one helmet-ST riders with ESA will know what I mean!), sports damping seems too hard. I do not know whether ...

decided to ride the ST this morning's extended ride (courtesy of wife requesting I delivered a cheque that had to be in today!)
I let a number of (narrower) bikes go passed me in the heavy traffic on the A3 to City this morning and then overtook them all again!! also great slow speed balance these ...

yes I do agree Jas M I try not to touch the headers if theres and easier way - if you only have one bolt left I'm sure it will snap when you apply a bit of pressure (try and undo it and I'm sure the head will fall off) can you get a small cold chisel in there and help it off? don't think it will ...

good man, that's the ticket.
Get an ST and join the small but happy band (that'll make 3 of us i think) revel in the battery under the seat, stunning engine (imo), slick gearchanges and looks(!)
don't expect to find too many many bargain parts and accessories on offer, there's more bikes than parts ...
