just got back from 4 days at Nurburgring, my first time, what an awesome circuit!

I saw the most R1100S's I ever did see ever, far outnumbering everything else from the BMW stable put together (mostly GS a few K1200 and very few 1200S - one black and flourescent yellow schnitzer looked very nice ...

the fuel warning light popped on last night saying 40 miles range left so I thought it was time to test the fuel computer!

when I used to use bridgestone the rear would always wear first but it was only ever another 1000 or 2000 before replacing the front - had various can't remember all the details but tried bt010, bt020 and 010/020
but with the 020 pair the front would go knobbly/unevenly so tended to change them ...

yes I do agree Jas M I try not to touch the headers if theres and easier way - if you only have one bolt left I'm sure it will snap when you apply a bit of pressure (try and undo it and I'm sure the head will fall off) can you get a small cold chisel in there and help it off? don't think it will ...

Get an ST and join the small but happy band (that'll make 3 of us i think) revel in the battery under the seat, stunning engine (imo), slick gearchanges and looks(!)
don't expect to find too many many bargain parts and accessories on offer, there's more bikes than parts ...

after lifting the tank I realised I could cut the zip tie and cut it from the headstock! took the sidepanel off though.

as has been suggested, undo the headers and remove the whole system (except for and assuming you've removed the silencers).

unless your'e a bit handy getting an oxy torch near the offending bolt
and have a mounted drill it would probably cost more to get the broken (stainless) bolt removed than ...

lucky man! very nicely kitted out, didn't know you could get panniers for the S, they look good.
Yep, I would go for high bars if had one, can't take the pain of low bars anymore (raised them on my 11S and makes a huge difference-only reason I might ever use low bars now is for a track day).

my first thought was the bracket was fitted back to front as seems to be hiding most of the plate! (i believe theres a different between discreet and hidden)
