BMW charge £30 a pair (£75ish after doubling and VAT)
I can get EBC HH for £17.52 a pair (£36ish after doubling and VAT)
Could I have problems with the BMW warranty if I use the EBCs? I NEED them done this weekend (I'm doing it myself).
How can BMW charge £40 more for pads for the front????? Are these SUPER pads??

The only warranty issue are the discs. If they warp then they won't be covered.

I'd heard that the EBC pads were harder and caused excesive wear on the disks, but I'm not sure which EBC's these were. I agree with the warranty thing. You wouldn't stand any chance with a claim on the disks or calipers, but shouldn't effect anything else.
I'd like to know how you get on as mine are due for a change.

I had the rear of the K's replaced prior to the Chateau Flash jaunt and they were around £15 plus VAT. The K's is the BMW-badged integral caliper, if that make much difference, and was done at a BMW dealer so I would imagine that was a BMW spec'd set of pads that went in.
Having said that, I have EBC's front and rear on the S back home and have had no problems (paticularly of late

).

The EBC HH pads are better than the BMW ones, not had any problem with discs so far on mine.

just replace all mine with HH from motorworks.
The back brake now seems to arrest the forward motion of the bike rather than being something to stop movement at the traffic lights.
I kept the BMW ones to put back on if any warrenty claim is necessary.

Are they EBC HH??
cos I'm pretty sure that the BMW ones will be HH rated sintered material anyway.
I've used EBC HH for years on my ZXR400 (and trust me - I brake HARD on that thing!! Especially at the Mallory hairpin....

) without doing any disc damage so I think I should be ok.
