Please can anyone advise what lubricates the front sliders and what quantity/air gap should there be when re-fitting?

175ml each leg.
I used a good quality(putoline)5w
Bleed the forks with the weight of the bike supported by the suspension.
Little brass bleed valves under black plastic caps.

I used ATF (automatic transmission fluid) from Halfords. Worked OK for me. If you want a laugh, go and order an emema kit from the chemist. It's the best thing for filling forks (honest).

Malc,
thanks very much, I called in Balderstones, Peterborough today and that's what they suggested.
