city navigator europe nt 2008 dvd

i've ordered the latest upgrade 2008 dvd map from garmin and they stated 4-6 weeks delivery
any one had stuff from garmin and if so is it really 4-6 weeks or are they just covering there arse
would have liked it sooner as i'm off to france in 4 weeks time

how do i go on with unlockin the map, basically i need a map of europe that i can download onto my sd card .
sorry about the confusion but i know nawt about this sat nav downloading

Have you paid for yours already? Ive got a Street Pilot 3, I install the maps then buy the key for the maps.. then download onto the garmin memory card.. So you would need to install the maps and then buy your own key.

Hi
If you have a Zumo than you will need to find someone who can lend you a copy of their up-grade disc (City Navigator software changed to 'NT' when the Zumo arrived I believe) then go on-line to the garmin site and purchase an unlock code.
If you have a 2610 / Quest 1 then _IT_'s software will be fine.

Gary, My zumo came with 2008 mapping, and I have the disc, could I just put the maps you want onto your sd card for you? or does the coding stop that?
