right hand cylinder overheating

Post by AJ 1 »

HELP i have just bought a 51 plate r1100s with 6050miles on the clock, which was laid up for about 3 years by a pal.
i serviced it just an oil change and plugs flew the MOT but taking it for the mot the right hand exhaust went from a nice blue to very dark, I took the plug out and it was white too weak yea???
I swaped injectors from side to side which made no differance any ideas???? :(

Get the valve covers off and check the clearances AND that they are all opening + closing properly.
Oyster. 1999 R1100S. Almost original.

As suggested ,check valve clearances , balance the throttle bodies and make sure the blanking plug for the vacuum take off under the throttle body isn't missing.
