My own advice would be to buy a new link pipe ( and therebye junk the cat) which will make the bike a totally different beast--Lazer/Zach or Remus depending on best deal you can find and then watch the for sale forum for s/h Lazer or Remus end cans, Just for the noise you understand.
Remus 2 into 2 (without the ugly collecter box) really does kill the top end speed imho.

you can mix the 2 together e.g laser/remus, as long as both are the single pipe set up.

I now have a remus 2-2 system after having a bike with the laser Y & cans. My feeling is that the laser is the better of the two.
The bike with the remus fitted does seem a little slower all through the revs but partiucularly at the top end. This could just be because it's quieter than the laser system. Noise = speed after all....
Does anyone know whether the remus headers from the 2-2 will fit a laser or remus standard Y piece?
